Appointment of Counsel
Indigent clients are entitled to appointed counsel at SORB hearings and G.L. c. 30A appeals of the SORB hearings to Superior Court. The Sex Offender Registry Board makes the determination of indigency based on a form submitted by the client along with any other required additional information. Once an indigency determination is made by SORB, the client’s information is sent to the ACRSU unit at CPCS for appointment of counsel.
