Presented by Marlies Spanjaard of the EdLaw Project and Megan Ronzio from the Special Education Surrogate Parent Program, a project of DESE. We will discuss the differences between education Guardian ad Litems (GALs) and special education surrogate parents (SESPs) including recruitment, training, responsibilities, and support. We will also discuss options for advocacy for one of these supports as well as alternative education-decision makers. Approved for 1.5 CLEs. (click here to register).
