The Committee for Public Counsel Services Staff and Private Counsel will consider the findings of the Supreme Judicial Court Attorney Well-Being Committee’s Affinity Bar Wellness Report, share in the strategies that are in place or evolving for change, and better understand the issues facing diverse and underrepresented colleagues and our overrepresented clients. Colleagues in the majority will learn of challenges that diverse and underrepresented colleagues face in responding, as well as the collateral harm resulting from bias fraught engagements. Attendees will be provided with practical skills to adopt and develop, regarding response guidance which promotes bystander response and allyship to reduce the harm of racial and ethnic bias, thereby supporting wellness for our entire community and the people we serve.
