Youth Defenders practicing in Juvenile Court will gain an introductory understanding of the effects and side effects of medications commonly prescribed to the children they represent. They will also examine how implicit bias affects prescribers’ decisions and learn strategies for critically evaluating provider diagnoses and prescriptions and how to incorporate this information into their advocacy.
