Briefing – and maybe even winning – ineffective assistance of counsel claims in CAFL appeals

We’ll discuss the key cases, identifying potential IAC issues, communicating with trial
counsel, preparing and arguing motions for new trial/relief from judgment based upon IAC,
and briefing and arguing IAC claims on appeal. After a plenary session, we’ll break out for
small group discussions.
