Presentation by Dr. Kelly Holland, M.D.
Family Practitioner, Lynn Community Health Center
As attorneys, we are bombarded with information on COVID — trends, rates, risks,
vaccines, and more — some of it credible, some not so much. Now subtract our training,
experience, and resources, and replace that with our clients’ circumstances: poverty,
trauma, mental health, racial and cultural divides, disparities in education, health, and just
about everything else. Advising our clients has probably never been more difficult than in
these precarious times.
But we are not alone. Our colleagues in the medical profession are also on the front lines of
advising our client population during the pandemic, and we can learn from them. Please
join us for a presentation by Dr. Kelly Holland, a family practitioner at Lynn Community
Health Center. Drawing on his deep experience with a clientele mirroring our own, and a
cultural fluency developed through concerted effort to gain his patients’ trust, Dr. Holland
is a true veteran of the front lines in our shared battle. Together, we will discuss how best
to counsel our clients through current medical realities, including that of the transition
back to in-person court proceedings.
This program is free and worth 1 CAFL CLE credit.
