The psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and geriatric care managers listed below have indicated their willingness to serve as independent examiners (often referred to as “independent medical examiners” or IMEs) in civil commitment, guardianship and “substituted judgment” proceedings.
Several agencies and group practices that may be of assistance are also listed. Counties in which these vendors are available to provide services are noted, as are self-described specialties.
Inclusion of any particular clinician on this list should not be construed as an endorsement of his/her professional expertise by the Committee for Public Counsel Services. You should request a CV/Resume/Vita from the vendor and confirm their license on the appropriate Board of Registration website.
