Spotting Race in Adult & Youth Criminal Defense Cases

Race & Racism are present in all cases involving a BIPOC client. Let’s practice spotting it.Following up on Dr. Dror’s presentation on cognitive and confirmation bias, this training will have participants work in small groups through a series of case-related documents to explore how race is present in our cases, even when it is not explicitly referenced. After identifying the issues, we will strategize how to partner with our clients to combat this racism.
