MHLD Worcester RC Meeting & Training on: Pro Se Clients and Your Role as Standby Counsel

Part of the meeting will be a general discussion/questions regarding practice in Worcester county and the rest of the time, we will have a training on: You’re Fired: Pro Se Clients and Your Role as Standby Counsel.
For the training, we will review: what happens when you are appointed counsel, but your client fired you when you first met in the hospital and then does not show up at the hearing ; how does your client go about waiving the right to counsel before the hearing; what happens when your client wants to waive counsel during the hearing; your client changes there mind during the hearing and now wants counsel; what is your role as standby counsel; when are you co-counsel.
