Hosted By: Valerie Rust (Regional Coordinator of Suffolk County), Susan O’Leary (Regional Coordinator of Berkshire and Hampden counties) and Hipolito Baez (Regional Coordinator of Hampshire and Franklin counties)
By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
- Recognize and interpret verbal and non-verbal cues from the Bench and opposing counsel during hearings, arguments, and negotiations.
- Demonstrate active listening skills to understand judicial concerns, opposing positions, and the issues most likely to influence outcomes.
- Adjust advocacy and communication strategies in real time based on questions, tone, and feedback from judges and counsel.
- Use active listening to strengthen credibility, reduce misunderstanding, and improve effectiveness in courtroom proceedings and settlement discussions.
1:00 to 3:00 PM training for 2 CLEs
Regional Coordinators will host meeting for Barnstable, Franklin, Hampden, Hampshire, and Suffolk county attorneys from 3:00 to 4:00 PM
