Rose has been the Director of the Committee for Public Counsel Services (CPCS) Criminal Trial Support Unit since March 2020. She has been at CPCS since 2012, first as a Staff Attorney at the Youth Advocacy Division, where she represented juveniles in delinquency cases, and then as a Supervising Attorney at the Roxbury Defenders Unit where she represented adults in criminal court and supervised newer lawyers. Prior to working at CPCS, Rose was in private practice where she represented adults and juveniles in court appointed trial and appellate cases. She has appeared before all departments of the Massachusetts Trial and Appellate Courts and before the United States District Court. Prior to her work in private practice, Rose worked at the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department as Legal Services Attorney and Deputy General Counsel. She is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Boston, where she received a B.A. in Sociology, and of New England Law.
