SOCIAL SERVICE ADVOCATE
Amanda joined YAD in March 2019 as a Social Services Advocate following her internship with the Public Defender Division. Amanda earned her Master’s Degree from Bridgewater State University where she also earned her undergraduate degree in Social Work and a minor in Psychology. While at BSU, Amanda was a member of the Phi Alpha Honor Society which fosters high standards of education while promoting humanitarian goals and ideas.
Amanda is dedicated to working with vulnerable populations and has worked with various age groups from youth to elders. While with CPCS she has contributed to cases in juvenile, district, and superior courts. Amanda previously worked as an Activity Therapist in the mental health unit of a correctional facility where she was able to provide corrections-based therapeutic treatment through support and group work. She also facilitated a Lifer’s Psychotherapy group which included juvenile lifers.
