KARI CINCOTTA has spent her entire legal career defending the rights of individuals accused of crime, including persons sentenced to civil commitment. Ms. Cincotta currently supervises attorneys in the Fall River offices of the Committee for Public Counsel Services (CPCS). She began her career in the Rocky Mountains after graduating from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 1999. In Denver and surrounding counties, she represented adult and juvenile clients in cases ranging from assault to murder. In 2007, she joined Colorado’s Appellate Unit to specialize in appeals and post-conviction matters. She also served on the Board of the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar. In 2008, Attorney Cincotta joined CPCS as a staff attorney with the Alternative Commitment Unit, where she defended incarcerated sexual offenders from “a day to life” civil commitments. In 2010, she resumed defending clients against criminal complaints and indictments at the Brockton Superior Court. Kari is proud to advocate for the Constitutional Rights of her clients and provide legal counsel to the indigent and incarcerated. When she is not in court, she can be found practicing her equestrian skills or volunteering at The Bridge Center’s therapeutic riding program.
