Jacquelyn Oppler, MSW, LICSW

JACQUELYN OPPLER is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts. She earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Boston University and received a graduate certificate in Forensic Criminology from the University of Massachusetts. Additionally, she teaches social work practice at Bridgewater State University.
Prior to joining the Public Defender’s office in 2016, Jacky worked in a range of settings including public schools, residential treatment facilities for adolescents, outpatient mental health providers, and youth homeless shelter. She is committed to working with clients struggling with any number of challenges, including trauma, addiction, anxiety, and other behavioral challenges. She believes that the clients hold the answers to their emotional and behavioral challenges, and she encourages the discovery and implementation of coping skills and positive thought patterns.
