Our office is located in Suite 102 of One Congress Street. To find us, go to the Government Center Garage on Congress Street, above the Haymarket T Station. Check in with the security desk, and then go to the 10th floor and follow the hallway (bear left) until you reach our reception area on the right side of the hall. It is best to call ahead, to insure that the attorney, investigator, or social service advocate is in the office.
Our office hours are from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. You can also reach an attorney or other staff by leaving a voicemail message, or by email.
The Boston Superior Court Trial Unit handles a wide variety of serious felony cases originating in the various divisions of the Municipal Court Department, except for the Roxbury Division, and also from the Chelsea District Court. Our cases typically are litigated in the Suffolk Superior Court, as well as in the courts listed above. We defend cases involving homicides, sexual assaults, robberies, firearms, arsons, major drug charges, and other serious property and assault allegations.
Our attorneys provide excellent representation to our clients throughout their cases, from arrest through trial or disposition. We are experienced with conducting trials, with litigating motions to suppress or to dismiss, and with pretrial investigation and the use of experts and investigators. We also strive to provide our clients with representation that also recognizes their humanity, through zealous representation in court and through honest and supportive consultation and advice as their defense proceeds.
Our staff also includes investigators who will promptly, carefully, and creatively investigate through evidence collection and witness identification. We also have Social Service Advocates who assist the attorneys in dispositional advocacy, including locating services for our clients and producing disposition recommendations for the courts. An administrative assistant and three support staff assist the attorneys, investigators, and social services advocates through clerical services, litigation support, and communications with our clients, their families, and the courts. Our goal is to provide representation to our clients equal to or superior to what they would receive if they could afford to pay an attorney. The ability to defend yourself, and to have your rights and your humanity respected in court, should never be determined by your wealth or circumstances.

Note: Unless your attorney tells you otherwise, if you have a case in Suffolk Superior Court you should go to the 7th Floor. Most cases each day are called in either the magistrate’s session or first session on the 7th floor, though trials are heard on the 8th and 9th floors.
