Meagan received her J.D. at Northeastern University School of Law in 2012, where she was in the Prisoners’ Rights Clinic. While at Northeastern, Meagan interned for various agencies that represented and advocated for the underrepresented: Greater Boston Legal Services, the Immigration Unit; Alexandria, Virginia’s Public Defender Office; ACLU of Northern California; and the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia. Since completing law school, Meagan has worked as a public defender with CPCS and has spent the last two years practicing in Norfolk County in both district and superior courts. Meagan is currently practicing in Suffolk County. Meagan has also served on the Advisory Committee for the Mental Health Court in Norfolk County, which serves to divert individuals with mental health disorders away from jail and into treatment.
