Mr. Gant provides litigation support and training to private assigned counsel and staff trial attorneys in all practice areas, and directly represents clients in cases involving complex forensic issues.

Mr. Gant is CPCS’s designee on the state Forensic Science Oversight Board, and teaches a clinic at Boston University School of Law. He is the author of chapters on forensic evidence and related litigation in MCLE publications, and has served on multiple amicus committees and working groups. Previously, Mr. Gant was Staff Counsel in CPCS’s Innocence Program, a trial attorney in CPCS’s Public Defender Division, and a trial attorney in the CPCS office that handles lifetime civil commitments. Mr. Gant is admitted to the bars in Massachusetts, the U.S. District Court for Massachusetts, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. He attended Northeastern University School of Law and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
