· We will learn from Dr. Jeffrey Fortgang, LCL Clinical Psychologist, about the science of addiction, the impact on our well-being and how we can recover and develop healthy habits in our personal and professional lives.
· We will discover as legal professionals that our experience with addiction is no different than our clients’ experiences.
· We will also hear from colleagues in the legal profession who will share their experiences with addiction and recovery and share their strategies for self-care and support.
The training will help you to:
· Become aware of how your wellness or the wellness of your friends and family may be impacted by various addictions – not limited to alcohol or substance use;
· Learn how not to give up because relapses are common;
· Develop tools of self-care and identify resources available for your support and the support of colleagues and family.
