This 90-minute webinar is intended for both attorneys and social service advocates, and will provide information on how to effectively formulate release plans/home plans for postconviction clients, and how to present these plans as compelling reasons why a judge, parole board, or correctional commissioner or sheriff should allow your motion or petition for release.
Topics will include:
- postconmotions for stays of sentences
- motions to revise or revoke
- parole board advocacy
- petitions for compassionate release (“medical parole”)
- obtaining funds for social service advocates/experts in the postconviction context
Faculty will include Carrie Burke, Kristin Dame, Lisa Kavanaugh, Murray Kohn, and Mara Voukydis.
