Representing Veterans: Much More than Diversion & Treatment Courts

This webinar will be led by Jason Thomas, the Veterans Program Coordinator for the Trial Court, who is a veteran himself (a current reservist) and a former public defender.

This training will enable participants to identify and understand the resources available to veteran clients, with a particular focus on accessing the resources provided by the federal department of Veterans Affairs and the Massachusetts Department of Veterans’ Services. Mr. Thomas will also provide an overview of the military in general and transitioning out of the military, and will discuss diversion options and the Veterans’ Treatment Courts.
