Homes of the Brave: Release Plans in Postconviction Advocacy

This 90-minute webinar is intended for both attorneys and social service advocates, and will provide information on how to effectively formulate release plans/home plans for postconviction clients, and how to present these plans as compelling reasons why a judge, parole board, or correctional commissioner or sheriff should allow your motion or petition for release.

 

Topics will include:
  • postconmotions for stays of sentences
  • motions to revise or revoke
  • parole board advocacy
  • petitions for compassionate release (“medical parole”)
  • obtaining funds for social service advocates/experts in the postconviction context

 

Faculty will include Carrie Burke, Kristin Dame, Lisa Kavanaugh, Murray Kohn, and Mara Voukydis.
