Ira Gant

Ira Gant is the Forensic Services Director at CPCS. He trains and provides litigation support to private assigned counsel and staff trial attorneys in all practice areas, and directly represents clients in cases involving complex forensic issues. Mr. Gant also teaches a clinic at Boston University School of Law. He is the author of chapters on forensic evidence and related litigation in MCLE publications, and has served on various amicus committees and working groups. Previously, Mr. Gant was Staff Counsel in CPCS’s Innocence Program, a trial attorney in CPCS offices in Bristol and Norfolk Counties, and a trial attorney in the CPCS office that handles lifetime civil commitments. Mr. Gant is licensed to practice in Massachusetts state courts, the U.S. District Court for Massachusetts, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
