Certification Requirements


         

Committee for Public Counsel Services (CPCS) provides legal representation to indigents in criminal and certain non-criminal cases. All attorneys who accept assignments through CPCS must be members of the Massachusetts Bar and must be approved as state vendors before accepting any case assignments. For Vendor approval, attorneys should contact the Private Counsel billing unit at the main office of CPCS. This brochure provides information for certification requirements for each type of case for which the Committee is responsible. For more information regarding certification requirements:
