Jennifer Magaw
Trial Attorney
JENNIFER MAGAW is a trial attorney with the Committee for Public Counsel Services (CPCS) Public Defender Division office in Fall River. Jen began her career with CPCS in New Bedford in 2012, representing indigent adults in New Bedford District Court, Taunton District Court, and Bristol County Superior Court. In 2017, she chose to start a new adventure in Fall River. Jen currently represents indigent adults in Fall River District Court, Attleboro District Court, and Bristol County Superior Court.
Jen is a graduate of Rhode Island College (B.A., 2009) and Roger Williams University School of Law (J.D., 2012). She learned the ropes through internships with the Rhode Island Public Defender, but also draws experience and wisdom from her past roles. Among other things, Jen has been a barista, an ACLU plaintiff -AND- an ACLU board member, a writing tutor, and a community organizer/professional hellraiser (yes — that was the real job title).
