BENJAMIN EVANS is a supervising attorney with the Committee for Public Counsel Services (CPCS) Public Defender Division office in Fall River. Prior to this, Attorney Evans was a public defender for six years in the New Bedford office, where he represented indigent persons in District and Superior Courts. Attorney Evans is a graduate of the University of Chicago (B.A., 1992); Northeastern University School of Law (J.D., 2005); and the National Criminal Defense College Trial Practice Institute (certificate, 2009).  Attorney Evans received the Massachusetts Bar Association’s Access to Justice Defender Award in 2015. Attorney Evans has lectured and served as guest faculty at various training programs for lawyers and has been an adjunct instructor at the University of Massachusetts School of Law in Dartmouth, Mass.
